Once again, this year  Pelegrini Restaurant in Sibenik took out the national award and it is well deserved. Owner/head chef Rudi Stefan is a perfectionist. He and his team have created a restaurant of pure ambiance, brilliant cuisine and a wine list to satisfy the most astute wine buff. We visited Pelegrini last week and are still raving about the experience of an excellent combination of service, fine food,  gastronomy  at it’s very best, in a 15th century setting of the Palazzo Pelegrini in the centre of Sibenik. How much better can it get?

As we entered the restaurant, chef Rudi was in his favourite position, welcoming guests and taking care of quality control as meals were being prepared for his guests. On the way out a few hours later, he was there to say goodbye with a warm shake of the hand. Our young waiter was amazing, his knowledge of the menu and wine pairing was second to none. Ever courteous and attentive without being intrusive is a rare quality these days.

We highly recommend this restaurant to all lovers of great food…fabulous food!
