A Day Tour to Bosnia & Herzegovina
February 24, 2025Baba (Nonna) Robyn took the family rafting on the Cetina River in Omiš. Instead of buying gifts, she decided on a day of pure adventure for sons Brando and Adrian with grandchildren Mia 14, Dorian 17, Christian 19, and Jagger 20. It was a super day we’ll all remember as long as we live!

Halfway down the river, we were told about a cave with dark icy waters, and allowed to totally ignore or accept the challenge! Naturally, the Vulinovich family accepted the challenge! Clambering out of our raft we climbed up a pile of rocks to the entrance of the cave, and without too much hesitation, leapt one by one, leaping and screeching into a dark cave with freezing waters of 8 degrees!!! Frantically swimming across to the exit we were offered an outstretched helping hand, pulling us up and guiding us to the exit and surfacing in daylight..Back to our raft! We did it! So empowering and so invigorating!

Time to stop and have a break..

Jagger and Dorian jumped, leaping and laughing, fast and furious! Rafting, cliff Jumping, cave waterfalls and more, all in one trip!

My younger son Adrian has always been a daredevil, so there was no exception today!

Christian took good care of his little sister Mia, and she really loved the day.

Thanks to Neno and Heike Jurevic at ‘Pirate Rafting’ for a superb day, and a big shout of thanks to our super guide, Lucija, who steered us through the rapids and had us in a continual state of unbelievable excitement and loads of laughter as we made our way down 10 km of the Cetina River Gorge. It was something we had never experienced before, but it proved to be exhilarating!
